Now the UK has left the EU, uncertainty on customs clearance is gathering momentum and its potential impact on supply chains.

At SGL, our experienced team can help businesses avoid costly fines and frustrating delays as we know what is required and the latest procedures.

We’re in constant communication with the UK Border Force, allowing us to plan and support businesses with customs clearance, whether it’s importing to the UK or exporting to Europe or the rest of the world.

Our adaptable freight forwarding team can completely run the customs clearance process for you, or offer guidance and advice as necessary.

SGL operates a Temporary Storage Site facility as well as a Freeport Customs Site facility from 2022 onwards, and can therefore support all businesses with custom requirements. It will soon be Approved Economic Operator accredited and uses the Community Network Services (CNS) system which facilitates the electronic handling of all import and export information.’
